Project overview

Tekko lounge’s mission is: “to help business people relax and enjoy their working time in the highest-quality business space in Tokyo. Our plan was to build a website that provides the needed information for the users. A design of modernity to showcase that Tekko lounge is a comfortable and high-quality place for business people to enjoy working, eating and relaxing.

About Tekko lounge

Tekko lounge is a part of Tekko building which was first completed in July 1951, TEKKO BUILDING was Japan’s first post-war high-rise building. The building was rebuilt again in October 2015. TEKKO BUILDING evolved into a large-scale business center with gross floor area of 66,280m² stretching 200m from the Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station to Gofuku-bashi Bridge, and ignited the explosive development of the district. Tekko executive lounge is a comfortable and flexible business environment for working with high-quality, sophisticated and elegant business space. With state-of-the-art facilities and a strategic location next to Tokyo Station.

No information on the web about their business lounge, conference rooms and cafeteria.

    Questions we had:

  • What makes business lounges attractive?
  • How is Tekko lounge compared to their competitor?
  • The good and the bad about competitors' websites?
  • How can we make new customers feel safe to use our lounge?
  • How can we keep existing customers to continue using the lounge?

User research

Participant: 20 business people living in Tokyo. We interviewed business people about their experiences using business lounges. These are the questions we asked:

  • How often do you use the business lounge?
  • How often do you book conference rooms?
  • How do you like the lounge and the service?
  • What information was missing?
  • What made you choose this lounge?
  • What did you wish the lounge had and hadn't?
